Founding Partners

The Firm was established in 1992 by George Kanyi Kimondo. Kanyi Gachoka joined the firm in 1994.

George has practiced in the firm for 19 years, and retired on 30th August 2011 when he was appointed a Puisne Judge of the High Court of Kenya.

Kanyi now remains as the managing partner at the law firm.

KANYI GACHOKA

Kanyi Gachoka obtained his law degree from the University of Nairobi, graduating with Honours in 1990.  He obtained a postgraduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law and signed the Roll of Advocates in February 1992.

Kanyi is an expert in conveyancing and commercial law with over 19 years legal experience.  Before joining the firm in 1994, Kanyi worked as an associate at K. Mwaura and Company Advocates where he cut his teeth as a corporate lawyer with a serious bias towards conveyancing, commercial and intellectual property law.  He has honed these skills over the last 19 years to become a trusted and skillful conveyancer.

Kanyi is a Certified Public Secretary and serves on the board of Directors of over 20 private limited liability companies.

Kanyi has served on the Board of Directors of the Retirement Benefits Authority of the Republic of Kenya.  He now serves as Board of Directors of the Policy Holders Compensation Fund. He has in the past served as Board of Governors Pumwani Secondary School.

Kanyi is past Chairman and Captain of Muthaiga Golf Club and an ardent player of the sport playing off 9 handicap.

CHARITY CHERUTO KIPKORIR, Legal Associate
